City Council

The city council consist of the 1st mayor (chairman) and 30 honorary members, 16 members of which belong to the CSU faction, 9 to the SPD faction, 3 to the FB faction (Freie Bürger - free citizens) and 1 to Bündnis 90/Die Grünen and the ÖDP.

The charter of a borough. governing the questions of the local authority´s constitutional law provides information about the structure of the city council and the committees, the work of the council´s honorary members and their compensation.

The city council governs the city, unless the 1st mayor decides independently.

The city council holds a meeting once a month on a Thursday, in the large boardroom of the town hall. The committee meetings take place in the small boardroom of the town hall. All meetings start at 19:00. All meetings are open to public, the agenda is published regularly in the press, in front of the respective boardroom and on this website. Exception: auditing.
