Economic Partnership with the City of Hangzhou / People´s Republic of China:

In order to strengthen the economic relations between the City of Unterschleißheim (Germany, Bavaria) and the City of Jinhua (PR China), the first Office for Economic Development of the City of Unterschleißheim and the ICU e.V. (Innovative Community Unterschleißheim) has been opened in Jinhua on May 1, 2003.
After three successful years of cooperation with the City of Jinhua, the CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) has given the City of Unterschleißheim the opportunity to move their Office for Economic Development from Jinhua to Hangzhou, the capital of the province Zhejiang. Since August 1, 2006, the Office for Economic Development of the City of Unterschleißheim and the ICU e.V. is therefore located in the provincial capital Hangzhou.
Hangzhou is not only known worldwide for its beauty but also for its strong economic growth and it is said to be a center for economy, politics and culture. Hangzhou is highly significant in the IT industry.
The Office for Economic Development, which, among other things, serves as a contact point for business contacts of both cities, is supervised and financed by the City of Unterschleißheim, which is a novelty in this respect.
Just like in the past, the City of Unterschleißheim wants to break new ground in the field of economic development with its Office for Economic Development in Hangzhou/China. The contact office "on site", in particular, offers a multitude of opportunities to bundle and coordinate the economic but also the amicable contacts.
